What Does it Mean to Live In and As Substance?

There are a lot of ways to look at the world – a lot of ways in which we can interpret our perception of our individual and collective realities. Who knows what’s “right” or “wrong”? Are there such things; right, wrong, light, dark, good, bad? It’s all a matter of where we find ourselves in the Substance of All things. To know what it means to live in and as Substance we must first know what this Substance is. Is it a figment of our imagination? Is it a creation of our own making? What is it and why is it?

There is an energy that all things were created from. This energy is the matrix of our reality. It is the impetus for all creation. Because we are made of it and it exists at all points simultaneously, then we can say that we are also this energy. Some people call this energy “The Universe” or “Creator” or “God”. There is no wrong answer to the nomenclature. It’s all the same thing. This energy, this matrix of Substance that holds up and consists of all creation infinitum, is our magickal tool to build the lives we desire. Sounds easy, right? Well, until you realize we are living most of our time here unconsciously in our human experience. It takes work to be present with the realization that we are a living embodiment of Substance. Then when we have the realization its work to harness that and move forward knowing that we can pull anything we want out of the ether and mold it into our lives. You’ve probably heard the quote, “Thoughts become things.” Put simply, because simple is best, Substance is that. Every little thing, every big thing, and everything in between began as a thought in someone’s head. We are all walking around as sleeping imagineers. Look at all the amazing things and experiences we have on a daily basis just by living from our minds and hearts – which also has a thought signature, called intuition. We’ve created a world filled with advanced technology, we created a planet that will sustain life, we created extraterrestrials and cryptids, demons and angels, love and hate, war and peace, the list is infinite. All of those things in and of themselves are also Substance, because they come from It.

Why does Substance exist? That’s anyone’s guess, but I like to think It wanted to fully experience life in its myriad forms. So, Substance expanded and, in that expanse, (and continuing expansion) It chose to manifest in ways that It can feel and learn all the things that can be experienced in reality. I want to be a man, a woman, a dog, a star, a flower, a tree, a billion dollars…a person living through the joy of having a billion dollars! The ups and downs, ebbs and flows, the contrast is key to appreciation and continued expansion. Ultimately, I think that’s why It is – growth, betterment, expansion – to know Itself and to keep knowing more about Itself in perpetuity. It’s quite possible that this personal development and growth is the key to our life purpose. Factor in love, gratitude, wisdom, and living our lives on purpose for the greater good of all creation and we have a well-drawn map of our personal cosmos and where it can take us through conscious creation.

How do we live in and as Substance. Simply, live. Take each day to become more aware of your conscious and perhaps not-so-conscious creations. When you notice something does not feel aligned with where you want to go, that’s your opportunity to step up and shift the thoughts that will create the actions that mold your reality. Plant thought seeds of your expanded self. Your life will be an inspiration, and you will change many lives by living this authentic version of who you truly are, a magick in-and-of-itself that leaves you with all the choices in the universe.
